Whenever you get married that means it's time to change your name in the US for women.
I like marriage and friends and family because we all want to share our fun times and sometimes need to share what is difficult. But of course, marriage takes the cake on this. Especially these days in my native culture we all pick who we marry... and in my specific stream of thought, the one we pick is who we stay with for life and happily ever after... or so it goes.
Sometimes I want the new name because of all the cliche as well as unique and sophisticated things a name change symbolizes to me. And sometimes, I want a partner. I'm not talking about a man and woman anymore because I'm actually talking about Christ's love for the church.
It's important to want both a new name and a partner. Without a partner, where is my strength? And without a new name, who am I really?... and what am I really doing? I want to climb up with somebody and somebodies by my side... playing my guitar and whatever else I do all to the glory of God... That and a few other things is what I'm thinking of when I say "Musically Inclined."
